Academic History
  • B.A. in Psychology (with a minor in Chemistry), Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Missouri at Columbia in 1976.

  • M.D. from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 1980.

  • Certified Master Hypnotherapist from the Institute for Educational Therapy in 1996.

  • Psy.D. in Parapsychology from Rosebridge Graduate School of Integrative Studies and the American Schools of Professional Psychology (now Argosy University) in 1999.

  • Into the PK Zone: A Phenomenological Study on the Experience of Performing Psychokinesis. Published in 1999. This dissertation was an initial look at what the experience of performing psychokinesis was like for those that do it.   • "Into the psychokinetic (PK) zone: a phenomenological study of the experience of performing PK." Presented during the Parapsychological Association Convention at Stanford University in August 1999 and published the same year in the Parapsychological Association 42nd Annual Convention Proceedings of Presented Papers.

  • "The PK zone: a phenomenological study." Published in the January 2000 (vol. 40, no. 6) issue of Iridis. This talk was also presented at the California Society for Psychical Research. Videotapes of the talk are available from that organization.
