Javascript Required:
MENU NAVIGATION:
This website used javascript fairly extensively. Nowhere is this more apparent than with my 3 tier drop-down menu bar towards the top of the page. The separate menu bar for my image gallery and sliding menu bar down the right hand side of every page also use javascript. None of these will function properly if you have javascript disabled or have an incompatible browser. I have tested the site with Internet Explorer, Netscape, and Firefox. The website has been optimized for Internet Explorer and appears to work normally with Netscape. However, Firefox users only seem to be able to access 2 of the 3 tiers of the dropdown menu. The easy work-around for this, is to access the unseen menu pages through the direct hyperlinks on the site-map. Site-map hyperlinks appear on every page (except the image galleries) to your right.

FAQ PAGES:
I put a lot of time and effort into creating some extensive FAQ pages (some better than others--it's an ongoing project). For those of you who were familiar with my earlier site's FAQ pages which each had its own html page, ALL of the earlier information is still available--it's simply divided up onto a number of small popup FAQ pages. Your old bookmarks may need to be updated, but nothing is lost. The links on the questions that you see on the main FAQ page use javascript to pull up each answer.

There are certain pluses and minuses to these FAQ popups. They let you print the information using a script at the bottom of the page, but it's hard to put as much information as I'd like into them. I have a scroller bar, which should help, and have tried keep the amount of information per page reasonable by breaking it up into chunks that appear on different pages.

USING THE SITE MAP TO GET AROUND THE SITE: | Site map link
Although it is cumbersome, you can still access all of the pages except for the FAQ ones without using javascript. Simply go to the site map. There are direct hyperlinks to all of the main pages on the site. So, click on the name of the page you want to go to, and it will take you there. Unfortunately, you may have to then hit the back button to return to the site map to access the links that can take you to the further pages. The animation on the index.html is showing 9 .jpg images. You will find these images in the "flash" folder. You can replace "image1.jpg" through "image9.jpg" with any standard .jpg images and the flash will update. Make your image sizes 125 wide x 125 pixels high. If you want to use other image sizes you can edit the "imagechanger.js" and also the "imagechanger.fla" in the flash folder with Flash software.

Hyperlinks:
HYPERLINKS IN TEXT:
Many of my images and words in text are linked to other pages. I don't use underlined font. Your clue is that you'll see a color change in the font - typically gold instead of black. Also, when you slide your mouse cursor over the hyperlinked font, you'll notice it will change in color from gold to green. This is your clue that you've uncovered an active link. In the case of images, it can be harder to see, but it may have a subtle border color of blue if there picture links to another file or page. Any time you see these shifts in color, you can click on the item to pull up whatever it is referring to, whether a video, mp3 file, or html page.

Popup Blockers:
POPUPS USED IN FAQ PAGES: | Click to see the main FAQ page
The FAQ pages are a nifty feature, but to function properly it requires both javascript (to open the answer to each question) and popups (since that's how your answer page appears). If you have a popup blocker on, you will not be able to access any of the FAQ page answers. I also have a popup slideshow, but you can also see the pictures by scanning through all of the image galleries. Most of the remaining site should work fine for you.

Please know that I permit no outside advertising on my website. If you want to turn off your popup blocker for my site, you won't be bombarded with irritating advertisements or "free" offers. I hate those things. And being my own webmaster, in full control of my site, I can assure you that I will never use them here.

Cookies:
COOKIES NOT REQUIRED:
I am clueless why people may get a cookie from this site after being here. If I could turn it off, I would. However, I can assure you that cookies are not required for this site to work, and you're welcome to delete or block them. I do not collect personal data about you and would NEVER sell any names, email address, or other information to a third party. It's part of my "do unto others as you'd like them to do for you" policy.

Image Gallery:
GALLERY PICTURES: | Click to visit my galleries
If you click on a thumbnail image in the gallery, a larger version of the same picture will appear in the center section of the gallery page. Many of the galleries are done as paired sets. One set has only 6 images with little explanatory notes. The other has 12 images, but has no text. By default, the menu bar will take you to the plain (text-free) galleries, whereas the image menu bar will take you directly to the pages with notes. This lets you easily navigate directly to whichever pages you want to see. There are also links which let you switch back and forth between the smaller and expanded gallery views. All artwork is copyrighted by me. If you wish to use one of my cartoons for your site, a talk, or a publication, please ASK first. I will usually say "yes." However, I like to know where and how my work is being used.

In the case of the camera artifacts gallery, many of these photos are copyrighted by Dave Manganelli and Canaloga Productions. Please contact him directly if you wish you use one of his images (it will mention he is the copyright holder on the picture) or would like him to speak at your group (he's a very funny and entertaining speaker, chock full of wonderful stories and information).

I sometimes get asked about whether specific paintings are available. Most of the old ones were sold or given as gifts. For the most part, I don't consider the few I have available as for sale--although offer me enough and I'll consider it!

Site Search:
USING THE SITE SEARCH:
It is possible to search my site and those of others whose information I respect (mostly paranormal investigators and parapsychologists) by using the search feature on this site. Just type in the text you wish to look for in the box at the top right-hand corner of the page and hit enter (the purple square with a sign like ">").

This feature uses a Google search engine, so whatever normally works for Google (such as putting words in parentheses to create phrases) should work. However, I'm not sure how well it will find the info in the faq popups, and, as with all search engines, it may not always find recently added or updated material.

I ended up getting rid of the contact form (my web server host did not support the script required), which never seemed to work all that well to begin with. So, what I have is my email address listed in javascript on the contact page.

Why not just type my email address here or have a direct "mail to" link? In a word, SPAM. I got tons of it. I'm not sure whether those of you who have javascript disabled will be able to see this or not. However, you still have the option of contacting me via my MySpace page or through my publisher here at North Atlantic Books.

Will I respond to emails? Usually. I certainly make an effort to write people back as long as they sound reasonably polite and appear to be sane. However, I am very, very busy. I will always answer if you have a specific question about my books or wish to schedule me for an interview, speaking engagement, or media appearance. I will also try to respond to those who are trying to get a handle on their psychic abilities.

I really am not interested in anomalous photos. Please do not send them to me. They do not represent "proof" of anything. I don't know of any real parapsychologist who doesn't cringe when people start talking about "orbs." If you want to share genuine experiences with me, or have questions about those experiences and what they might mean, then I'll be happen to listen and will do my best to answer yours questions.

Who don't I speak to? I do not waste time arguing with skeptics. I am not currently interested in performing psychic reads for people, whether free (its amazing how often folks want one) or for money. I may not respond if an email sounds like it is from someone who is deeply mentally disturbed (please - seek professional help). For legal reasons, I do NOT provide psychological counseling and support to those who have paranoia and feel under psychic attack. However, if you check my site, you'll note a number of links provided to help those who need help be able to find it.

I will not give out any information you submit here to any third parties except for:

1. In compliance with a request of a law enforcement agency
2. At your own request or with your express permission (for example, if you want me to ask me to discuss your case with Loyd Auerbach of the Office of Paranormal Investigations or another reputable individual).

Under no circumstances will your name, e-mail, phone number or address be sold to any other parties. I will never willfully sell, lease, or rent any of your or your business' personally identifiable information to any third party.

Collected Information:
I do not collect personal information. This website currently has no applications or programs that gather information from your computer without your consent. Users are required to give me contact information (e.g., your email address) in their emails if they want a return response from me.
