Sitting Man I took a beginning sculpture class several years ago and this was my first piece. The man played in a rock band at night, and modeled as a day job. It came out really well. Sitting Man This is a look at the same piece from behind. I put a lot of care into the back muscles. The piece itself was only about eight inches tall. No Soliciting Monster I did a whole series of "No Soliciting" signs and monsters. They typically sold faster than I could fire them. However, I kept this one to guard my front door. No Soliciting Troll Here's another of the "No Soliciting" series. I really had a lot of fun with these. Dranix This was a half-dragon half-phoenix monster that I did, and painted after firing. Paul Darrow Another of our assignments for sculpture class was to do a bust. I chose British actor Paul Darrow because I had a number of pictures I could use to work from. The side view can be seen as the next image. After firing it, I spray painted it to look like bronze. It was about 14 inches tall. View page with more images but no descriptive notes
