The Perfect Partner
Given my teacher's constant complaints, I sometimes fantasized as to what would be the perfect student.
One Shoe
This actually happened once. Let me tell you, it's a real challenge dancing with only one shoe.
The Rack
I was always suspicious that this was what my teacher really wanted to do to me.
Coach
This really happened. This particular coach, Didio Barrera
(one of the top Latin dancers in the US at the time) later became my teacher
when Billy left the studio I was at, and moved to Ohio to further his career (he later won two U.S. titles).
Don't Worry
I have a mischieveous side that peeks out at the world. I also love to shop.
Centrifugal Force
You cannot imagine how heavy some of those ballroom dancing costumes are, or the amount of centrifugal force that can be created by doing a series of spins. It takes practice to learn how to keep it under control.
